Yeah! Finally! I love that Sentai still pulls out stuff like this occasionally.

Now-defunct video streaming service Daisuki previously streamed the anime with English subtitles from February to June 2017.

It has been so weird all this time knowing there was an official English subbed version which was only available a few months and taken away.

OMG, thank you Sentai for making L-Gaim available for US/American audiences to watch and own on physical media. I've been wanting to watch this.

Yeah, same here. Has anybody gotten behind the story why the sudden removal back in 2017?

Literally just two months after L-Gaim was removed from Daisuki the service itself announced that it would be shutting down later that October. I imagine Sunrise saw the end coming & just went "Yeah, we'll be removing our shows from Daisuki".

I do love when Sentai releases a random old school title out of nowhere. No way I'm passing up a Tomino show.
Now for Brain Powerd to one day be rescued...

Great to see this finally getting a NA release

I was surprised to see this and figured if anyone was going to get it, it would be Discotek, however I saw it mentioned elsewhere that Sentai has released most of Sunrise's non-gundam giant robot series, so it seems to fit a pattern.

Regardless, I'll be picking this up (though I'll probably wait for a sale later in the year along with some other titles from Sentai) Smile

Discotek only has Blue Comet SPT Layzner, that's the only Sunrise's non-Gundam anime they have in their catalog, and even Discotek getting Layzner surprised me because I thought Sentai Filmworks would've gotten that anime. I didn't expect Discotek to get that anime.

Holy mother of GOD!!

(wanted to curse but wary of getting censored)

I never thought I'd see the day.... I remember trolling around random fansub groups and janky streaming sights to catch LGaim and now I can buy it! Oh, Happy Day!

NOW SOMEBODY BRING FRIGGING IDEON BACK!!!!!

Yeah, I get the impulse for profanity, this is very unexpected (very welcome) news. Never thought I'd live to see the day. What's next, Dougram?

I know about Arion, Giant Gorg, and I'm sure there are other Sunrise anime that Discotek may have license. So I apologize for my confusion on my last comment and my unintended ignorance.
