Not quite; the controversial teacher is the one in the large star to the right of Hirose in the poster.

Not just that but Syundei posted that she lost interest in drawing manga right before she deleted. This is all because she had been accused of being a pedophile and getting comments like these since 2025 when people discovered she had drawn content they deemed “problematic.” Most of the current ire this time is finding out that the original manga had a scene where Nakamura fantasizes Hirose in a sexual situation with an octopus and Hirose having fond feelings for his teacher. Syundei had also posted romantic art of the two.
The television broadcasts also got delayed.
Multiple manga artists have been very upset about this.

It is fine for Person A to be disgusted at what B says, writes, or draws. However, either side reacting with bullying, doxxing, threats, etc. is extremely vile

The question is, if you were disgusted by what they drew, was it really necessary to have to tell them directly, or even accuse them of being a pedophile?
The fact that Twitter’s algorithm now automatically translates posts probably assisted in exposing Syundei to so many hate comments.

@Ming Yi: I don't think it was necessary to call the manga-ka that or tell them directly. Heck, a Twitte user could have something like "I am really disgusted by what [user name with the @ sign to avoid tagging them] by what [said user] wrote and here's why."

Yes, but I do want to mention that people have directly posted these comments to Syundei. One Twitter user literally quote-retweeted them when they were considering deleting, only to go, "My only mistake was quoting Syundei's post because I didn't expect them to respond! XP"
What also sucks about this situation is that Syundei posted about not wanting to continue their manga artist career anymore before deleting.
I also want to make it clear that posting on Twitter at all can expose Syundei to these sorts of comments, even if they aren't tagged, since the algorithm favors controversial comments and is auto-translating them. They're going to see it no matter what. It's not the same thing as posting a news outlet posting a review because at least they're on external websites and you'd have to dig to find it.
