Haha, Takehito Koyasu as Deadpool could be really fun.

I was hoping they'd have done some other mystical/supernatural characters for this team (like Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, or Morbius), but maybe they'll end up as DLC, later.

I'm glad to see Takehito Koyasu still voicing Deadpool. He was great in Disk Wars: Avengers.

I find it interesing that Deadpool's animations and attacks are references to Mortal Kombat, because Tokōn is being developed in Japan at ArcSys, and only the first three MK games were released in Japan and it seem that they didn't perform well, maybe they're regarded as more of a curiosity, though I do remember that the manga/anime Hi-Score Girl, which focused on '90s fighting games, had an episode focused on the first Mortal Kombat, and I'm ure some Japanese fighting game developers are aware of its popularity.

I was expecting Deadpool and Blade to show up, but I'm surprised by Loki's inclusion in the team. I'd say Tokōn has a very balanced roster in terms of recognizable characters, but unlike Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, it doesn't seem like Marvel/Disney forced the developers at ArcSys to make the game look like the MCU.

I also like the fact that Deadpool is played by VAs that have already voiced him before, which reminds me that Tokōn seems to be the first ArcSys game to be dubbed into multiple languages aside from Japanese and English, at the end of the latest gameplay showcases for Captain America and Ms. Marvel they listed their international VAs and I'm glad that Cap's Neutral Spanish VA is Raúl Anaya, who had voiced the character before in Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes. I hope that other characters managed to be voiced by VAs who have voiced them before in other appeareances in all languages.

I’m guessing they learned after that cock up to simply go back to letting the developers pick who they want while only ever so rarely getting weird with their concerns.

He's played Wadey at least three times before, once in 2014's Disk Wars: Avengers, again in 2017's Marvel Future Avengers, and he also provided Japanese voiceover for Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool and Wolverine, referenced in Deadpool's ult for this game.

He's referencing basically every major fighting game, including Street Fighter, Tekken, and Guilty Gear.

Yeah, I know that Deadpool is referencing other fighting games, including Tekken and ArcSys' own Guilty Gear series, but the Mortal Kombat ones stood out more to be just because the series hasn't been legally available in Japan for almost 30 years.

Well that's cool. I know a lot of seiyuu end up becoming go-to voices for certain Japanese dubs. So color me excited that Koyasu is the current official Japanese voice of Deadpool Very Happy.
