I believe that there's a been a few legal theatrical showings of Porco Rosso subbed in the past.. the Ghibli retrospective that cinematheque ran in cleveland in 1999 comes to mind. No such luck this time =/
sigh..... I can only hope that maybe some of their more adult titles will get sub releases (omoide? please?) |

How many adult releases does Studio Ghibli have? I don't think they really have that many... even though I will admit, they have some, but the really major ones have already been distributed.
The others fit into more of a teen genere in terms of age. |

Aside from Omoide Poro Poro, I would also count heisei tanuki gassen Pompoko, and Tonari no Yamada-kun. Princess mononoke i guess I would say too, but it's a little late to hope for a widespread sub release of that

I think it would be a great chance for other people to see Miyazaki's work. Porco Rosso is a great movie.
