it's nice that they make a positive use of their large amount of fan's. it would be nice to see more of such events coming (i.e. One Piece fans cleaning beaches, etc)

Really cute idea. I hope Shone Jump USA posts some information on the abroad reader project. The little English "comic" on the link about planting trees was cute too.

if they really wanted to save more trees, shouldn't they print exclusively on recycled paper or switch to digital distribution of manga?

cut down trees that have existed for years and plant new ones that will take years to grow.

heh. atleast they are using naruto's popularity for good.

Good to see them doing this, but this article reminded that so many of Naruto's events take place with the characters jumping around right in the middle of a freakin' forest. Doesn't surprise me that Kishimoto would be supporting this in light of that....
