You really dislike aliens huh...
Well I think this was a perfect opportunity to introduce that concept because in season 2 of 00, they were laying the foundations for this. So it really was no surprise. What the movie did right was not making the aliens humanoid and went with something that's truly alien. Their only way of communication was by assimilation, obviously humanity took that as a threat since assimilation only results in death. Which I have to add the war resulted from the inability to communicate, not by misunderstanding like in many previous Gundam shows. This is where Setsuna comes in. I really like how the ELS used images in order to interact with Setsuna. That way, they were able to understand each other.
One of things I loved about 00 is how refreshing it was. As someone who has seen every Gundam series, I always welcome new ideas for the next series/movie/OVA to come. In fact, I'm really happy how this turned out. There were a few minor things that could've been done without, like for example the overpreaching of understanding each other. Other than that, It serves as a good closure to the 00 universe.

I know the review is a little old, but.....
The scores give a review for the Dub and Sub, but the body of the article doesn't mention them. Wish you'd elaborated, though I expect they're just as good as they were in the series.

Sorry yes, you're right there about the dubs and subs scores. We don't really have a limit on how much we can write about reviews but personally, my style is that if the numbers could explain it, then no point disecting it.

It's not really that I hate aliens per se . It's really just the placing of it. As you'll note in what I wrote, I do understand where it's all coming from, but yeah, ultimately it the concept detracted more from the overall setting of Gundam than really contributed to it.
Thanks guys for reading
