I didn't see any topics on 07-Ghost so i decided to start on. It's great for something that deals with church. Not saying I don't belive in God. But personally i belive it is an awesome manga and anime.the character i like the most is Labrador. He cares a lot for others andwishes the best for them. Plus he can see some of the future. Maybe no one has noticed but Ayanami and Labrador look a bit alike.

I enjoy it and find it a fun series. My favorite character is probably Frau, though his name is annoying. Either the author(s) ignored the dynamics of other languages for the purpose of creating double meanings, or don't really understand it. As someone who knows a fair amount of German, when I first found I what Frau's name was, I thought "...this is going to be really distracting and strange". I've heard Labrador's real name is a word in Russian that would sound strange as well.
It works out when people are named "Cloud" or "Salt", I guess, because they're nouns with no specific gender. But when you name a character "Woman"...Well, that's just strange. I wonder how some of the German-speaking readers in Japan took it 
Overall, though, I enjoy the series and want to know what happens. |
