There's a volume 1-18 BRAND NEW collection on Amazon for $210. That's a pretty savage deal. I'd buy that in a second if I didn't already own most of the show. Somebody better jump on that quick.

I saw it yesterday and nearly pissed myself. But, I'm already collecting Sailor Moon and my rule is one OOP magical girl show at a time. Besides, when I do get around to collecting CCS, I want those neat little books instead.

I saw that the other day when one of my classmates and I were looking at expensive anime on Amazon. I went "Holy crap! Why the heck don't I have the money for this!?"

Whew, I'm glad I bought those nifty box sets when they first came out. But I'm not reviving an old thread simply to express that sentiment. Just thought I'll let all you Card Captor Sakura hunters know there's an ebay seller selling a "near mint" first box set for $149.00 - Buy It Now auction. There's a few other auctions for the singles and another for the same box, but I'm not sure if anyone is interested in paying the inflated prices. $150 doesn't seem too bad. Anyways, here's the link:

That's a really great deal. Seen those collections go for $200+ all the time. Guy must need school books pretty bad to part with that. King, where the hell you at? It's got your name on it

Yea, it does. I'm watching some Sailor Moon singles that could get expensive, so I'm holding some money for those. Depending on how that goes, I may or may not get it. I've actually been watching that for several weeks and now Pantha has exposed my hidden gem. Pantha, you better hope no one gets that

Singles? Don't you already own the entire single collections?

I have the S and Super S thinpaks (seasons three and four). I'm currently collecting the DiC version that ADV released in singles which span seasons one and two.

I love that dub. And I am hardcore. To the max.
Oh and thanks, Pantha because someone bought that CCS set. Thanks for exposing my little secret that I've had my eye on for almost a month. Actually, if the person who bought it would've waited until it expired, he would've gotten it cheaper when he relisted it. Proof? It started at $220(I think that was the starter, at least) then dropped to $190 then to $175 and then to the $149. |

Anyone in the market for the Cardcaptor Sakura singles? I stopped by the local Coconuts Music, and they had v.3-v18 on the shelves that someone had traded in. Granted, it is missing v.1 and v.2, but those are probably the easiest of the series to reacquire. I went ahead and purchased the last four volumes, considering they are probably the rarest, and will probably try to go the next time I have cash to pick up the rest. They all look to be in fairly crisp condition. I haven't opened the ones I picked up yet to see if any of the pencil boards are with them, but if so that would be a major boon.
Anyway, seems like two people missed the boat with them--the person who sold them for probably only getting $40 or $50 for the lot... and the person who bought v.1 and v.2, instead of going for the whole set. So yeah, if anyone is interested, slip me a PM. For me, purchasing them would end up costing in the neighborhood of $200 (if you have interest you can suggest a...a... commission of sorts...a go-between fee, if you will) which is quite a bit under going rate, even without the first two volumes. If no one here'd have interest, I'll probably complete the set myself and flip it on ebay. |
