I like this concept, not enough BD's take advantage of all the features of the medium.
Too many BD's are the same as DVD "but in HD"

Disney will bring most of the Ghibli films out on BD in the US (excepting maybe Only Yesterday) eventually but there's going to be a delay.
Tokuma/Studio Ghibl doesn't want the US releases TOO close to the Japanese because of reverse importation fears. The US releases will be at least 30-40% cheaper than the Japanese BD's.
Don't expect any Ghibli release by Disney in the US to come quicker than 6 months to a year after the Japanese release. That's been their standard release pattern so far.
Nausicaa on BD will be out in the US shortly; maybe Laputa: Castle in the Sky by the end of the year.
Castle in the Sky BD still hasn't been officially announced for the US to my knowledge. I wouldn't expect it before the fall at the earliest...

And yes, we suck it up every time.
