At this point in time I believe that nearly all of Yuu Watase's multi-volume series are available in English through Viz Media. Of course, not all of them have been completely released in English yet, but they are being released.

There isn't anywhere I know of that you can read the volumes online (and even if there was I couldn't provide links), but if you're just trying to get the official English translations I would say your best bet is to check with online vendors. Many of them have domestic and international shipping options.

If you want to preview the series, you might check the Viz Media website. I don't know how many of their releases have online previews available, but I know that they do provide that option for at least some of them.

Viz distributes in the USA and Canada, and if you lived here, I'd recomment the library if you want to read it for free. But Jakarta is a hard one. Quite a few years back, Viz's Japanese licensors cracked down and didn't allow Viz to ship their manga outside of North America anymore.

Fortunately for you, Yuu Watase is immensely popular (although her star is probably more falling than rising), so there may be distribution companies in Singapore or Australia that may be able to distribute professionally translated English manga to you or a library near you. Best of luck.

Many of the North American retailers such as AnimeTen.com, RightStuf.com, Amazon.com, and AnimeNation.com have international shipping options. You can also check if overstock.com will ship internationally. Their prices tend to be cheaper than many other retailers, but from my experience, they seem to sell returned stuff. Australia seems closer to you than North America, so check prices for Australian retailers too. (Sorry, I don't know any online sellers there.) Yuu watase is a popular manga-ka, so it should be licenced.

Is alice 19th. available in English? I've just finished reading 1-3(dutch version), and it was ok. I think most Yuu Watase fans will find it satisfying enough.

Yes, all of Alice 19th has been out in English for well over a year now. The other series of hers that are completely out in English are Imadoki and Ceres: Celestial Legend. The original Fushigi Yuugi series is almost all out, with only vol 18 left to be published.

Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden and Absolute Boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi) are both currently being released in English (I believe those are her current series in Japan as well).

Imadoki and Ceres: Celetial Legend were also created by Yuu Watase. All of the volumes for both titles were released in English. Ceres was made into an anime and it's a great story. Imadoki is cute and funny. I recommend both titles.

I believe Absolute Boyfriend has finished in Japan at about 7 volumes. There is some other series she is currently doing, but I don't remember what it is called.

Ah, I didn't know that it had finished it's run. She was working on it and Genbu Kaiden at the same time, however. I assume Genbu is going to be rather lengthy and shall take awhile to be complete.

Also, note on the Ayashi no Ceres anime, if you've read the manga before watching it, be prepared for a fair amount of things to be cut, I personally think they did a very poor job with that anime, especially in the area of characterization (poor Touya lost what little personality he had Sad)

I still enjoyed the anime, even though two story arcs were left out and a major character became a minor one in the anime. So I have to say that I disagree with you that it was poorly done. I think that they did a very good job with the plot and characterization (remember spoiler[the Mikage family was screwing around with his brain after his original accident.] so yes, Toya doesn't really have much personality but goes on to discover himself in both the manga and the anime. You also have to remember that there is the length of the series and budgets to consider as well. Anime series probably do not get the biggest of budgets, unlike some shows here in the States that spend over $1million per episode.

Another great thing about Yuu Watase...She finishes what she starts unlike a certain manga-ka collective (<koff>CLAMP<koff>) Wink

(Finally got this right, just took me 4 times to do it! Rolling Eyes)
