I have been seeing numerous pictures of POT around websites, and the Manga in the book stores, my question is, is it worth buying? What is it's Pros and Cons?

The review covers a lot of it, in terms of the unrealism of the tennis, but the strength is in its characters. The extremely large cast that remains interesting is something, and I disagree with that review saying the characters are dull. The first volume sets up the tone, but doesn't expand on the likability of the characters. There's also not much of a story to speak of, so if you like to actually have real stories and real issues (instead of "Can they go to Nationals!?"), this falls flat in that area.

I highly recommend it. It's one of my favorite sports series, mainly because the matches are exciting and the characters are interesting. Aside from the equally impressive artwork, there's not a whole lot more to speak of, especially in terms of story and believability.

Yes, if you don't mind reading about a lot of tennis. I have just recently gotten into the series and have gotten up to book 11. I believe that it has a strong plot and a variety of characters. Basically, I find the plot to be intriguing (I don't waint to give the plot away because I highly dislike it when others do that to me). The only thing that might hurt the series overall is that it is solely based around tennis and the players. Yes, the main character Ryoma does play different styles and types of players, but it can get reptitive. Even when the other starters play, you can sometimes begin to guess what might happens. Besides that, there are a lot of funny senerios and I enjoy it (the author does explain some of the tennis terms for those of us who don't play).
