I usually buy it at suncoast but the one right by where i lived closed. So i now have to resort to Best Buy which never gets anime on their release dates but the good side to it is that they are alot cheaper than suncoast. I can get a volume of FMA for 19.99 rather than going to suncoast where they charge 29.99. I also was thinking that do you think anime cost too much?

I live in a small town; no best buy, nothin'. So I usually order online, mainly from Amazon. Buying online has the advantage of being able to get good deals but the risk of getting bootlegs.
Also, as opaquescum pointed out to me, in an Encyclopedia entry, you can go down to the releases section, click the volume (or whatever) you're interested in buying, and it usually has prices for several online sites where you can buy that particular item. Really helpful.

I'm also getting the FMA volumes at around $20 from various vendors through Amazon.

Too much? Don't know the meaning of the word Cool . I do know I've been broke over and over again because of anime, and my collections not even that big compared to some other members.

Your Best Buy never gets anime on the release date? Strange, pretty much of all the Best Buy's around here tend to have their anime on the shelves 1 to 2 weeks before the release date. Heck, I just tonight picked up my copy of Fullmetal Alchemist volume 9 which isn't scheduled for release for another week.

Of course, that might be the issue as well, as it tends to take Best Buy awhile to restock their titles that have sold. Usually what ends up happening is the DVD's are sold before the official release so if I wait for the actual release date to go pick something up they're already all gone and I have to wait for the restock. Either way, it's much better than Suncoast, while Suncoast does charge only $20 when the release is new that price quickly jumps to $30 which is much higher than pretty much ... anywhere.

I pretty much buy from Best Buy though, but I'll order online at times as sometimes I come across a volume that is impossible to find at any local stores for some reason or if it's a box set as those are usually priced better online. I've ordered from Amazon a few times, but most TRSI, TFAW or DDD.

I go to Suncoast or Best Buy, sometimes Fry's Electronics. Wherever I can, pretty much.

I used to buy it at Media Play when they'd go on sale each week. When they closed down my friend hid all the ones I wanted in the back and I bought them during the last week when all the stuff was 80% or more off. But now I usually just order it online, I refuse to give Best Buy a single dollar and won't set foot in that place if I can avoid it...

When I can, I get it second hand in places like Entertainment Exchange (a second hand entertainment shop in Manchester city center that stocks a gradually increasing amount of anime, simply cos its cheaper that way, but otherwise, pretty much anywheres the same price although HMV does seem to have been getting cheaper, so I tend to gravitate towards there when I cant find a series second hand. Oh, and Music Zones much cheaper than average, but there selection of animes very limited (Evangelion and GitS as far as i can tell ¬_¬)
