I also bought the 2 disc special edition and hoped it would be there however I'd expect that it won't get its own DVD release however I think what Square-Enix could do is add Final Fantasy VII: Last Order as a bonus disc in one of their future game releases. Or maybe if they do get around to doing a remake of FF VII they could include Last Order as part of it. Other than that I can't see it being released on its own...........well i'm having a hard time seeing it being released on its own.
I probably think that FF VII would do better as an OVA series in my honest opinion.

I don't think the last order will be released in the US, but that fine with me. The Last Order is not very good at all, if I were you I would just stick with FF7: AC, and the original story that was on the Playstation. The whole game getting an anime adaptation......don't think so. More then likely there be an updated version of the game of PS3 (Which I doubt) before there will be an entire anime series devoted to the game.
Till next time,

The chances of Last Order coming here are pretty slim, since the movie came packaged with the $300 limited edition of the movie in Japan. It was more so meant as a gift to people who maxed out their credit cards. And I'm sure Square-Enix wouldn't call it fair if US got it for a mere $20, also packaged with Advent Children and a butt load of other extras. Sure we waited 7 months for the movie, but doesn't most anime take even longer to come here?
All in all, I liked Last Order, if it were made into a full fledged series, that would be something. Some might find the changes a little disjointing (Sephiroth doesn't jump to the into the pit of the reactor, Cloud throws him in there, and Zack definitely wasn't sniped on the truck.), but it's nothing to soil the source material. Last Order isn't an unmissable OAV, like Samurai X (anyone know of a mainstream place to get the DVD), well, unless you're a hardcore fan of FFVII like me, who will do what ever it takes to see everything and anything FFVII, good or not.

thasnks everyone for your comments.
btw i didn't love Last Order that much either, and i find it hard to believe that a FF7 anime for the whole story would be directed to my taste but i'd still want to check it out at least for my great love for the game's plot and characters (and obviously the character design but i have a feeling that in an anime version they'll change the design).
