When I asked AN's John, he told me the longest one he knew of is Final Yamato at 160 min. At least one of the original Gundam movie trilogy is same length. One of the Macross movies is also that length. Excluding OAV episode compilations into a movie (New Fist of Northstar is condensed into 175 minutes), the longest I know of is Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex - Individual Eleven (OAV), which is 163 min. I say any OAV close to an hour is a "movie". Are there any OAV/movies that beat this length?

New Fist of North Star doesn't count because it's made up of 3 individual episodes. Otherwise i could choose Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
I would believe what 'ask john' says because he's rarely ever wrong. |

I once took two FMA DVDs to the computer and compressed 8 episodes, approx. 200 mins, but that doesn't count. I deleted it because it was stupid.
