Something few people ever make mention of is how you don't really hear about delays from Nintendo anymore. And the reason why is because they don't mention anything about a game, let alone its release date, until it's pretty close to completion.
It's pretty much the opposite of SEGA's approach (reveal everything and push the release up instead). |

That's true, but they did delayed the upcoming Legend of Zelda title for Wii U so there are still exceptions.
