I wonder how this could work. Hell, where's the Evangelion movie, or the Gatchman movie? Huh?

This may happen if you have a few big company names involved. But I'll believe it when I see it.

Hopefully it goes better than the last one.

Look, I get that your cartoon had to appeal to kids, and you were following Gurren Freaking Lagann airing on SyFy, but man did Voltron Force suck.

Yeah. Force had the potential to be great from the concept but they really had no idea how to handle it. I mean, 3rd Dimension wasn't that much better because it was early TV CGI but it handled itself better than Force in terms of having a constant tone.

It's because Dreamworks owns Classic Media (and insists on pestering Netflix with a spinoff series of every single movie project they make, and sometimes two or three)
And although I could probably think of a dozen "What if Dreamworks Animation made Voltron?" jokes right now, none of them would be funny.

Quote:
an original series titled Trollhunters from Guillermo del Toro, which Netflix describes as centering on a "fantastical world wrapped around two best friends who make a startling discovery beneath their hometown."

Aww, not the Norwegian movie? Oh, poo. Confused

I didn't enjoy vortron force ether so I'm not open to the idea of another reimagining however I am open to the idea of a live action voltron movie. Cool

There's a minor mistake in this article. It was World Events and Peter Keefe who were behind Voltron. In the article, you have Peter Keefe identified as Peter O'Keefe.

Neither of those have nostalgic ties with Americans, so they might prioritize Voltron over those. The closest you might see is G-Force and Robotech movies.
