I've been so disappointed with the various Itazu adaptions. I watched the live action series first and found it cute and pleasant for a while, but then they dropped the ball on how they portrayed Irie right around the time they were graduating.
I recently started the anime and felt it quick-paced, but tucked the thought away. And then I got to the scene where Yuuki gets appendicitis. I have rarely been so frustrated with an anime adaption. How many important scenes and arcs did they cut out just to rush things along like that? So much of Irie's development is lost, as is his development with Kotoko. I couldn't believe that. (I need to finish because apparently it has the intended ending, but ugh.)
I like that they put quality into these and capture the tone well, but I don't understand how they keep adding these ridiculous changes.
