I always said, "I can see Captain Harlock being re-interpreted as a U.S. screen production, whether it be live-action or animated", and it's nice to know that Harlock fans in North America may finally get a version they can feel comfortable watching with non-otaku-type North American viewers. Plus, we are always seeing Harlockverse stories contradicting each other without changing Harlock's essence. Like, how hard can creating a non-Japanese Captain Harlock film with its own narrative spin be?
It's now a matter of time until we know about candidates for the lead role as well as who will do the mechanical designs. |

As long as it's better than the previous one,the ending(with Yuma/Logan assuming Harlock's command)had left me really confused for awhile.

Considering Harlock and Harlock clones in the Leijiverse have also been written as cowboy-type characters, I like you could call it a "Spaghetti Space Opera Western". |

This and Astroboy make two anime properties with commercially unsuccessful CG animated films that Hollywood still believe can make money. Okay.
