I always said, "I can see Captain Harlock being re-interpreted as a U.S. screen production, whether it be live-action or animated", and it's nice to know that Harlock fans in North America may finally get a version they can feel comfortable watching with non-otaku-type North American viewers. Plus, we are always seeing Harlockverse stories contradicting each other without changing Harlock's essence. Like, how hard can creating a non-Japanese Captain Harlock film with its own narrative spin be?
It's now a matter of time until we know about candidates for the lead role as well as who will do the mechanical designs.

As long as it's better than the previous one,the ending(with Yuma/Logan assuming Harlock's command)had left me really confused for awhile.

Italian and Hollywood spells "B" movie. Guess we can always pray that this will be one of those diamonds in the rough.

Considering Harlock and Harlock clones in the Leijiverse have also been written as cowboy-type characters, I like you could call it a "Spaghetti Space Opera Western".

This and Astroboy make two anime properties with commercially unsuccessful CG animated films that Hollywood still believe can make money. Okay.
