Well, looks like they wanted to get away from the Black Panther opening on February 16th. Now it is just one week before the new Spielberg movie, Ready Player One. It will not do as well as it should. The first one was AMAZING and should have made much more then the measly 100million (barely) it did in 2013 in America.

Yea, I also feel like Pacific Rim never got the credit it deserved, but we're lucky it's even getting a sequel.
Pacific Rim was a great love letter to all the stuff that inspired it, and was also perfectly crafted to be exactly what it was aiming to be. It's why I would argue that the film isn't just a dumb popcorn flick and is smarter than people think it is. It's one of those film experiences too that had me sporting a big goofy smile throughout. Love this movie.
