While I like Rumikos stories, I doubt that she can do a horror oneshot.

I always liked her horror stories best and I think she does them really well.

You should read Mermaid's Trilogy and Rumic Theater to read some of her horror stories.

Takahashi has been doing the odd horror one shot since the beginning of her career it's not a new thing for her.
