!!! Nooo!!! This is terrible news, whilst I'm really glad no one was hurt, this is such an icon to fellow Lucky Star fans like myself, I really hope they can rebuild it.

So unfortunate! I can only hope most the torii gate is salvageable for repair. For example, a former torii of the Meiji Shrine in Central Tokyo was repaired after being struck by lightning in the 1960s, and was moved to the Hikawa Shrine, which is also in Saitama Prefecture.
