Wow,
They really have mined a lot from EVA, haven't they? Nice to see, though, that Dark Horse is still in business 30(?) years later. Manga isn't what it's most famous for -- that would be Frank Miller's Sin City and Mike Mignola's Hellboy -- but the manga lineup has been pretty strong from the start (even though I own little of the English translations right now -- I sort of backed out of manga years back and rarely read it anymore). I'd still prefer to see the original EVA TV series re-licensed and released on Blu ray FInALLY in the US along with a couple of others shows, OVAs, and movies from the 1990s. There's far too many classics that are still OOP. |
