Interesting that Hayashibara made such a decision. She's one of the best so I have no doubt she'll be fine.

I wonder if it was so she could negotiate her own rates for individual projects?
It could be that because she's at an agency, she can't take certain roles anymore because she's too expensive, even if it's a role she really wants to do. (I am only making an assumption on this. I don't know if the Japanese actors union/agency rules work the same as US talent agencies and unions).
Maybe there was a creator she wanted to work with again, but couldn't contractually?
