I have been considering buying an MP3 player with video playback, and am wondering how large exactly would be comfortable for watching subbed anime.
Since many people watch anime on video upload sites, I imagine that a relatively small screen size would be okay, but most MP3/PVP players seem to have screen sizes of only 2.4-4 by 2-3 inch screens, and I would like to see the opinions of you all if a 2.4/2 inch or 4/3 inch screen would let one read the subtitles without having my eyes explode, because if I can't watch anime on an mp3 player, I will go ahead and buy a cheaper one that doesn't have video playback. So, how big does the screen have to be to watch subtitled anime? |

I've loaded anime onto my video iPod (however large the screen is), and I don't have any problems watching anime (other than battery life, but that's another story.)

Same here. I've watched anime and other foreign cinema subtitled on my iPod without much eye-straining. Just imagine you're sitting very, very, very, very far away from the TV screen.
