The anime adaption didn't get that far into the story from what I recall, so I'm curious to see how it concludes.

The anime really was a trash-fire of a production, it's only redeeming quality being the intro song, which is a banger. I liked the premise enough to buy the manga and began reading it from the beginning, and the choices made in the anime are really baffling and really torpedoed it, like they inexplicebly gave the military police steampunk-weaponry all for the sake of making the few scenes involving them easier to animate! I was really confused when I came upon that scene in the manga and saw how different it was from the anime; generally the show is just so dumb and low effort that it hurts, why did they have to butcher it with such a low quality-production? Though tbf, low effort seems to be all this series is worth for the companies involved, the official english translation uses like Arial and can be very stilted at times, at least the art is good....
