I think in this case it's just a Doga Kobo thing, they've been having a lot of issues lately. Last year they had to close for a couple of weeks because of covid, Shikimori had episodes delayed, and Technoroid Overmind was delayed by 6 months.

If this is indeed the case, then the production and scheduling of Oshi no Ko might be affected as well... unless it's being handled by different team.

At least it's just delayed for the following season and not put on limbo like Isekai Ojisan episode 13, Ayakashi Triangle and Golden Kamuy season 4.
