I’ve only read the first chapter so following summary is just from that but will tag spoiler just in case. Also details may not be 100% cause its been a while but again this is just from the first chapter. I need to read more because its by the Burn The House Down author and I love that work!
The titular Arika is the star and by far the most popular member of an idol group. Then one day she suddenly vanishes with 0 traces. The investigation doesn’t turn up any leads and the group tries to move on. Auditions are held for a new member and one girl gets in but she doesn’t seem to be interested in idol stuff at all. Why is she even here then? It turns out she is secretly a huge Arika stan (as well as knowing her in the past) and infiltrated the group to in order to uncover the mystery behind her disappearance. At the end of chapter 1 it hints that at least one of the idols is not who she seems to be and may have been involved in the disappearance….
