This show is mildly interesting but it left me kind of cold and confused about this premise. Is it normal in Japan for High School teacher to even consider dating their student?

Arre we up to the point that stories have to spell out that the young boy teenage Tanaka impressed in the second episode was Murai? "Inference? Names, dates, times and ages or it never happened."
