Are you sure? I also find that sentence highly confusing. If it's just getting a new season, you could have just said it was getting a new season.

Sometimes they'll announce it as "A new anime project" which could mean Film, TV, ONA etc.

The new anime was already announced a while ago but didn’t say what format. This news is telling us that it’s confirmed to be TV anime.

I don't think anyone was expecting this to be anything but a TV series, but it's always nice to get a confirmation.
Too bad we have to wait until 2026 for this, but this has been one of my favorite franchises in recent years so I'll definitely be looking forward to it.

Wow, 2026 is a long wait. Someone needs to tell Myne to put her books down so we can get to telling her story sooner!

It's sounding like it could be streamed instead of broadcast. Streamed shows are being treated as TV shows.
