Normally I wouldn't want to say much as CRAA always seems to get people going and 2024's awards left me flat, but this year the line up in all categories pits some legit great shows against each other and I don't think the choices have ever been harder. If people remain civil, there should be some great grounds for discussion. To get things started, we have a new category
Best Isekai Anime- Konosuba S3, Mushoku Tensei S2, Re:Zero S3, Shangri-La Frontier S2, Suicide Squad Isekai, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime S3
The only thing I can say is that, much as I like SLF, it doesn't fully fit the definition of isekai as the characters exist IRL and it is clear SLF is only a highly realistic/immersive game. So what metric can there be that makes one of these better or worse? I didn't see SSI or Slime3 but the others are well executed both in animation and artistry, the stories in MT and Re:Z are well told and the comedy in Konosuba S3 was well done as always (which is an accomplishment in itself).
