I hope this leads to a Bravely Second remaster. Also while I really didn't care for Bravely Default 2, I hope the Bravely series continues. Like the article says, there's a lot of its DNA in the Octopath games.... but I don't really like those (mainly because it doesn't really feel like a full story, just multiple smaller stories that other characters kind of just guest star in, but also I don't like the HD-2D art style, I don't know how hot a take that is) and would much rather see the Bravely series get more love. Since this was only a 20 minute preview, I'm curious to see how they'll integrate / reinterpret some of the 3DS features like StreetPass into this one or if they'll try to do anything interesting during the true final boss fight if you don't buy the camera.
Also I really hope they cut down the repeated trips through the multiverse in the final act of the game but unfortunately I don't see that happening.

Of all the games I've played that use this Brave/Default (or similar,) mechanic, the original Bravely Default is by far my least favorite, and that's all down to the final act.
I do hope the series continues though, and if this remaster is being used to measure interest, then I have my fingers crossed for it.

I'm glad I didn't know about the game's certain later twist, because had I known, I might have not played it. But I had so much fun with the game's mechanics I actually didn't mind doing a lot of the same stuff over again. It's still a justifiably divisive aspect, buuut it kinda works out anyway if you are in the right mood.

It took me a long time to get around to finish Bravely Default the first time because, while I enjoyed the game, the grinding was tiring and the repeated world section was painful, especially since I stupidly decided to battle every asterisk holder again and the vampire kicked my ass. If I buy the Switch 2 version one day I think I won't bother fighting everyone every time...
I really love the music of the game (and the composer) so for me the rhythm minigame is like... a big draw for me. I probably wouldn't consider buying it again if it didn't have that lol

I always saw the cinematic character designs of Agnes, so I never knew that the in-game characters are more like Lego people or a sort of chibi design.
