Hmm, this is technically huge, but do we trust Titan to handle this release well?

If it's handled the same way Kamen Rider Kuuga was at the start, heck no. Hopefully Titan Manga learned their lesson with that snafu.

If Newtype is collaborating with its publishing, I hope they do decent quality control.

That's sadly becoming a seemingly viable method of publishing manga in English lately. "Machine translated nonsense" one Amazon review called it, haha.

One of the license rescues I most wanted, but not happy about who did the rescuing.

I wonder if Titan would be able to use the old Toyspress localization for most of the series. It wasn't perfect, but would be preferable to what they did on Kamen Rider Kuuga.

I also wonder about the physical format of these new editions. The art is very detailed and the large format of the old editions-- roughly bande dessinee-sized-- would be ideal.

I think in an old interview with Forbes, it was mentioned how Nagano-sensei expected more quality from the previous localization. So it's safe to assume the translation might be redone.

Now this is unexpected.

Can't say I know much about Titan, though. Is there really much reason to be concerned?

They’ve had their fair share of discourse around shoddy translation work: animenewsnetwork.com/news/2023-01-25/titan-comics-kamen-rider-kuuga-manga-translation-differs-from-initial-preview/.194183

Even now that their translations have gotten better, people criticize their paper quality, which apparently is on the lower side.

I'm happy about Five Star Stories being released officially in the West...hopefully Titan doesn't botch it. [/list]

Nice to see a fellow bande dessinee enjoyer who enjoys 5 star stories
