I find it really fascinating -as predominantly a Megami Tensei fan that hates what the calendar turned Persona 4 and 5 into- that the no-brainer of making the game a live service seems to have rubbed a lot of players the wrong way. Its paid systems seem relatively "fair" so far, and not predatory too.
I never liked how it felt as if Persona 3 and 4 boiled combat down to "knock the enemy over and stop their turns" - it went from being a fully-fleshed JRPG combat system to experimenting with ONE MOREs and All-Outs. In recent times, I thought the Strikers combat expressed that sort of fighting much better than Persona 5 did, and the alterations that P5X has made to combat is welcomed. I've been really jaded in my opinion of Persona for a long time now, and Strikers and P5X have been an incredible breath of fresh air.
