I've been reading Witch Watch since it started and while I'm not a massive fan of the series I actually had a lot of fun with the anime. The production team and VAs did a great job bringing the world to life and it really enhanced the series for me. Happy to see it was a success and I'm really looking forward to seeing the material coming up getting adapted.

I thought the show was only OK at first, but it kept getting funnier as it went along, and I've grown very attached to the characters, so I was hoping for this announcement. Maybe this could be the first Shonen Jump gag manga since Saiki to get a full adaptation.

Finally some good news.
This series has been like a heart in a heartless world for me these last months.

Not surprising, but good news all the same. We have some characters coming up that I’m excited to see animated.

I barely made it to Witch Watch final episode, not that much interested to jump into its second season.

The first half was good but the second half was boring.

This anime as been an absolute joy and a great "7/10" show. It helped immensely that it aired in two consecutive cours. Being able to sit with these endearing characters for six months built up investment in future seasons. If the quality remains, this is a show I'd be happy to look forward to every year.

As someone who loved the first season, I'm so happy we'll be able to get to see more of Nico, Moi, and the gang animated in the future!

Very happy. I'm not surprised about the second season, but it's great that we're getting seasons faster now rather than waiting four or five years between seasons. I mean, it's possible that's in the cards here, but I really doubt it.

I am glad that it has a second season even if I am not watching it week after week.
Maybe in this one we will reach the real twist of the series: that Uron Mirage is real. Or something like that. Maybe.

While I do think it's more bad than good that Jump series have been getting anime later into their runs, the fact that the manga already had almost 200 chapters before episode 1 even aired meant that they already had enough material for almost 2 other seasons at that point as well as having a good idea of what was coming in the future and what things should get focus.

I don't know how many chapters the series ended up adapting exactly as a result of them having jumped around so much, but typically a 25 episode season will cover between 65-70 chapters, so my guess is if season 2 is as long we'll get to the end of the disaster and probably start touching on the fall out to wrap up the season so we won't get to that for a while.

Unsurprised but overjoyed~ this is probably my favorite SoL out right now. I get nonstop laughs every episode and I am very attached the characters. Even when the episode's concept has been done before they always lean into the jokes and character writing super hard in a way that makes me love them. Glad to see these goofballs again in the future

I hope they take their time because I really love Autumn Storm, Duet Dance and the Day of the Disaster.
I hope they bring their A game for those 3 arcs.

I’ll admit: I wasn’t a fan of the manga when I read it. However, the humor worked so much better in animation form than they did in print. So I’m happy to see it coming back for a second season.
