He also had a different name in the manga adaption, although this name is closer to Riou that it makes you wonder why it was even changed to begin with.
The art and designs look a more modern and will take a bit to get used to. I don't dislike them and I never expect them to use the original PS2 art style for an anime in the first place. |

I hate the name change because of that x'D I'm so used to call him "Riou" it's gonna sound SO weird to call him "Riliu"... and the same with Tir, they choose to call him Rean, wth?? xD As for the main cast, I'm gonna miss Kaji Yuki as Jowy but I suppose they wanted younger people to the younger members (same as Luc being now Murase Ayumu instead Fukuyama Jun in Star Leap) but I'm SO HAPPY they stay with Nakamura and Konishi... thank God hahaha I don't like the character design very much, tho... I think game's design is prettier, but I hope the animation is good :_) |

A Suikoden II anime? Never thought I'd see the day. It's one of the best RPGs of all time. I don't see how they can cover it all well anything short of 52 episodes though and even then you could easily get more out of it. Riou's name change is definitely weird I agree.
