Hopefully the health issues aren't too serious, but given the frequency of the breaks I think they might be. Hopefully they'll be able to mange at least a monthly schedule similar to World Triggers and if not that the quarterly one Yuki Tabata of Black Clover has been working with for the last few years as he wraps up that series. But first they should take however long a break they need to get back to a place where they feel they can keep the series going.

Health comes first. Strange how genius is so often matched by frailty. Given this, I assume it will be quite a while before a third season of the anime is possible.

I would assume that the new upcoming season of the anime is also sucking a lot of energy from the duo, too.

From that timeline, it sounds like this is the thing to do. In the meantime, the thing to figure out is whether it's that the breaks need to be longer or the serialization needs to be adjusted. It wouldn't be the first manga to need to go from weekly to monthly. The audience will manage just fine in the meantime, and I think everyone would prefer it to stop-and-go publication that may be doing more harm overall.

Whatever they decided to do, I hope they prioritize the authors' help above all else.

Another thing they can do, is give them more assistants.
