These stage shows are fun if you can see them, since they have the same energy as a pro wrestling match, just with way more elaborate costumes. They did one at NYCC one year and that room was packed.

I remember the Ultraman as a child.
The Japanese cartoons also included Astro Boy and Kimba, the white lion.

re: "Berial" friends and I were trying to figure this one out all weekend when we saw the show at American Dream in Jersey. In the stage show there is a card reading "Ultraman Berial" when he appears, as the announcer calls him "Belial". It is probably just a r/l typo, but the name Belial does have religious significance. We suspected it might have been a "God Gundam becomes Burning Gundam" kind of thing, but pretty sure it was spelled Belial everywhere else.
