People in the FGC got really excited by this annoucement, this feels much more appropriate than Ronaldo and Salvatore's inclusion in the game, especially considering that Fist of the North Star has influenced tons of fighting games, not just SNK's. Now, having a non-video game character as a guest fighter is nothing new, Tekken 3 had Gon and 7 had Negan from The Walking Dead, Soul Calibur II had Spawn, III had Darth Vader and Yoda, Guilty Gear: Strive had Lucy from Cybepunk: Edgerunners, and Mortal Kombat had tons of non-video game guest characters.
I hope that this isn't a Street Fighter 6 × Spy × Family situation, in which they made a well animated trailer that shown Yor fighting Chun-li, only for in the end being just some cosmetics skins based on the series, which looked awful.
