Dragon Ball Online is set in Age 1000 and Toriyama wrote its backstory. I knew that reusing some ideas and characters in Xenoverse wasn´t the last we would see of it. This happens 216 years after the End of Z. https://dragonball.fandom.com/wiki/Dragon_Ball_Online

Toriyama seemed to be fairly involved with this, and in any case if this is repurposing Dragon Ball Online material then I don't see an issue with that; the way DBO advanced the world of DB was too good to be confined to a long defunct MMO and little hints in Xenoverse |
