I watched it some time ago, but I remember loving the anime. Do you think there is a possibility they'll animate the remaining manga arcs now that the story is coming to its conclusion?

Wow, end of an era. This is the longest I’ve read a Shojo manga as it came out. I also hope for a second season, but it’s not looking good.
Yona is in my top five Shojo series, and an easy recommendation to anyone.

It had a heckuva run. I'll be sad to see it go, but I'm looking forward to the ending nevertheless.
Also pray for a miracle that they eventually finish adapting it in anime form.

Maybe I'm just not super familiar with the issue naming system used in Hana to Yume, but the wording feels a bit confusing in this article. I'm assuming this means it's ending in this upcoming Dec 20th issue, but it also says 2026 not 2025? I can't imagine either logistically (or simply given where the story is) that they're announcing a finale date for over a year away.
ETA - Okay yeah, going through the Hakusensha website, Hana to Yume's 2/2025 issue last year was released on Dec 20 2024. That would have been bizarre otherwise.

[expletive] Finally!
I really hope her next work is great.
I only read a few volumes and couldn't take Yona seriously as a 16 year old traumatized suddenly turning incredibly composed and god-like in demeanor or whatever. It looks ridiculously dumb.
From NG Life to this, I was very disappointed.
But, to be fair, one day as planned, now that it's finally over.
As a fan, I can force myself to try again, binge read it to completion and judge if it's critically good or not.

It is considered one of the best shoujo fantasy series. I have read Kusanagi’s other series and I think there is no comparison. Granted I don’t think it is a fair comparison because they are a lot shorter. But Yona is a much more complex series than anything she has written before.

Nice! I've been buying Yona ever since the manga started coming out in the US, and now that it's ending, I can read it in full! I wonder how many volumes it has in total?

I’m curious if we’ll be getting any new shoujo that has over 20 volumes. Maybe Tamon’s B-Side and The Failure at God School

Wasn't it the dragon blood that made her this way? Her leadership is really no different than White Dragon's arm, Blue Dragons Eyes, and so on. This is very much a chosen one story, at least as far as the anime goes. Definitely more grounded than the average battle Shonen these days.

Endearing characters, interesting plot and an engaging story line!! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to see how it finishes.

Guess now might be a good time to catch up.

I don't think it was that jarring, but if you're looking for something similar with a bit of a more... mature take, check out Joou no Hana.
When I fist encountered Yona of the Dawn, I basically just saw it as "Joou no Hana, but shoujo." (The former began publication about two years after the latter.)

Yeah, it's not just Hana to Yume -- I think this is just how manga magazines work. For instance, Chainsaw Man debuted in the 1/2019 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, and part 1 ended in the 2/2021 issue. Those were published December 3, 2018 and December 14, 2020, respectively. Shonen Sunday seems to follow the same system; probably others too.

I tried reading the manga and I really liked it... Until everyone got too similar to each other. Seriously, its hard telling people apart in this manga.

Realistically? No
It's been 11 years since the anime debut and they had enough material at the time (I believe?) to have done a season 2 immediately after but yet didn't.
However, it isn't 0% and we have seen this year, anime which got surprised sequels years after their first season
