I was wondering, who here is going to be attending Otakon 2008? I've been kind of thinking that with all that will be going on for AX 2008, maybe it would be nicer to go to a smaller convention, my thing is that I would be flying out from the west coast for it. Flying out wouldn't be the problem financially, as much as it would be for the hotel accommodations. With all this, would it be better for me to stay in Cal and attend AX in LA or just wait a month and just fly out to Baltimore?

That's what I figure, so I guess I'll just see how it's doing when it gets around to the summer then.

I'll be going fighter. Despite my often bitching about the con I've been to the last 5 and plan to continue the trend. I mean I need to find ways to blow my Christmas money in the summer don't I?

Yeah, I was thinking maybe to work the July 4th holiday so I can get some major bucks in and also recover financially from my trip to Japan in April. It'd be another plane trip is the thing, and may cost more, but could be worth it for the con experience.

Screw the coasts and the AX's and Otakons of the world, come on down to the Midwest for conventions that are small, intimate, yet completely awesome

Oooo....care to name a few, so I can educate myself on them? (it would prb be more appropriate to start another thread on this stuff instead of doing it in the Otakon one) lol
