After have watching both Gundam Seed and Gunbuster I am for the lookout for a new mecha/scifi series in the wonderful world of anime. However, it is hard as hell to find a real masterpiece like these two. Therefore I am turning to the experts, what can you guys recommend.

I would recommend Neon Genesis Evangelion, Nadesico, Any UC timeline Gundam shows, Full Metal Panic, Gundam Wing, and G Gundam, thats all I can think of right now.

I think Blue gender is good. It has robotic suits and alien bugs.
 The gundam series is another good one. Gundams rock! They are good scifis.

Well any Gundam series would be a good one, but I personally like 08th MS Team and Gundam 0079 the most. You might like Pilot Candidate...

fullmetal panic is good, so is evangelion, and you could try raxzephon.

Full metal panic is a new and very good mecha anime. Blue Gender is good but they don't use the robots that much as much as they just kill the bugs with guns.
