I only saw what Toonami aired. But it does look like an interesting twist on the Giant Robot genre.

It's pretty funny. The employees that pilot Dai-Guard are members of the public relations department. They have to juggle their PR duties as well as fight the monsters. I'm up to episode 19 or so and I love the show. (It's on The Anime Network.)

Dai-Gard rocks!
It's funny but the characters end up being a bit more 3-dimensional than you would normally find in a giant robot show. Definitely one of the better anime series to be released here in the States last year.
