I think a manga review site is a great idea.
The only place that I remember is mangamaniacs.org, but it hasn't been updated since August.

Any other place???

Check out AoD's manga forums...

and try browsing through Tankobon Tower. Hopefully it will be posted more reguarly. It has some good reviews of recent manga in it.

I also find that reading customer reviews on the site I'm going to buy my manga from (Amazon, Animecastle) are sometimes helpful.

I bought Cowboy Bebop Shooting Star 1, and then I want to buy 2 and then go and buy the original manga series.

I bought Cowboy Bebop Shooting Star 1, and then I want to buy 2 and then go and buy the original manga series. I'm also collecting Rurouni Kenshin.

If you want a Tokyopop manga, go to the Tokyopop website. It also tells what mangas will be released.
