Wild Arms: Twilight Venom isn't really an adaptation of the Wild Arms series, nor any of its entries. Part of this is because the Wild Arms series doesn't have a unified setting. The world on which the events occur is called Filgaia, and there exists something called ARMs in each, but the acronym is different for each game. Contrary to common belief, the Wild Arms series does not always have a wild west setting. That was a misconception perpetuated by the designs of the main characters, the music, as well as the popular entry Wild Arms 3. The original game was a fantasy setting with one or two towns reminiscent of the wild west, and the second was a varied steampunk adventure in a nonspecific rustic setting. The fourth was a science fiction with nothing reminding of the wild west, not even the music for which the series was famous. Twilight Venom was merely taking the Wild Arms name and depicting an original adventure in a setting loosely based on the wild west, and fortunate for that--it is easy to forget that this piece was associated with Wild Arms this way.
