Hi!

Does anyone know whether Chobits manga has been released in Germany or in US?
If yes, then could anyone inform me about the prices?

I wanted to ask some friends to buy a few mangas for me and thus I am asking. I will be gratefull for any answers.

Thanks.

It's been released in the US by Tokyopop for $10 a volume. I think 3 volumes are out.

I wonder why the Chobits manga hasn't been licensed in French yet? Not that buying it in English bothers me, being a British-born Quebec Anglophone (who speaks pretty crappy French, actually, for someone who lives in Montreal), but usually Tonkam and Pika Edition license all CLAMP stuff pretty quickly, even the obscure, Mick Nekoi-drawn, stuff like Suki Dakara Suki (J'Aime ce que J'Aime) and Watashi no Suki na Hito (Celui Que J'Aime). I'm also still waiting for them to license Gohou Drug (Lawful Drug) in either French or English.

I just wish there was some way to speed up the release of the manga volumes. Shows what happens when you try to release a current product as opposed to waiting a year or two. Oh well, at least it's a beautiful series. (Sumomo is unbelievably annoying, though)

I thought they were releasing once a month like Love Hina and GTO. *L* It doesn't bother me a bit to spend $26 month on these series. (I get it at Waldenbooks with the Card.)

I live in a country where getting mangas is really something.
There are two or three firms doing translations into Polish, but as they aren't parts of big concerns, the number of titlse the can release is rather low.
Currently as far as I remember we've got: Akira, X, Hello Michael!, Oh! My goddes, Dr. Slump, DB, Sailor Moon, and maybe something like 5 other titles.
TM Semic Poland once released Apple Seed, Dirty Pair and maybe 2 other mangas.
There was also a limited edition of Plastic Little and currently JPF Publishing House wants to publish collector's edition of GitS.

So, as you see YOU really shouldn't moan about delays, at least you get a variety of titles.
A few years aog to buy some mangas I had to go to Germany or UK. And what would you say about that? ^^

I wish that they'd hurry and release vol. 4 also, and I do agree that Sumomo is increadibly annoying, it's just insane. SHe's like that in the anime too.
