Im looking for any information and quotes to do with an influences on manga.for example WWII and advances in technology and medicine. Im looking more for quotes of artists and manga-ka rather than manga characters script. any examples of how these influences are still evident in modern manga would be a help.any examples or information is of great use to me.

Quotes I don't have but observations I do. Though now that you got the thought in my head I might have to go find some. But first why are you looking for these quotes?

I m asking because i am writing a piece on manga and how it has been influenced over the years by various events and situations in the world. i am looking for quotes that are from manga artists rather than quotes from anime and manga. (from the characters) i am also looking for examples of modern manga which have dated or old influences. for example a modern manga that is similar to or is based upon events such as WWII or the Meiji era, etc. I am looking for examples that show that these influences are still evident in manga today.
Thanks for your help.
It is much appreciated

Well i did look around for a while looking for quotes, but no luck. But an example you could use is the fact that FMA references WW2 allot.
Also this sounds interesting let me know more about it if you find anything.
