this single entry is actually lists credits for two different person.

The "Staff in (english version)" credits are for Yoshihiro Watanabe 渡邊 喜洋 and "Staff in" are for the current entry.

If you can make a separate entry for the previous entry, it should work out.

person#1369

One being a Japanese animator and the other being a production assistant on the English language version is a pretty big clue so those do need to be split. We don't normally get provided Kanji names for the English staff credits.

I don't think that's all there is to it unfortunately, since the 3D animation credits at least belong to a third person, 渡辺悦啓.
The key animation, mecha design and character design credits do all seem to belong to the same person, or at least the spelling is consistent.

Except no, looks like there's another - the source for the Bamboo Blade credit has 渡邊義弘 for Design Works. Backed up by the official sites:

So, there appear to be four people, or at least four different spellings. Here's what I have so far:

----

渡邊喜洋 - Production person
He is on Twitter:
http://twitter.com/crazynabe (English)
http://twitter.com/angrynabe (Japanese)

I assume he created this thread in the first place and he currently works for Madhouse. I'm not sure where he was working in regards to those old English DVD releases though.

----

渡辺義弘 - animator (including the prop/mecha/character design credits)

----

渡辺悦啓 - 3D animator

----

渡邊義弘 - Designer?
"Design Works" for bamboo Blade
The Oreimo credit.
"デザイン協力" for Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (the animation credits on this title are for 渡辺義弘, apparently they both worked on it)

----

Do you want it broken down fully by title or is that enough?

split: animator / production staff / 3D animator

But the 渡辺義弘 / 渡邊義弘 situation is tricky; 渡邊義弘 has much more than just those 3 credits you cited.

渡辺義弘 on CCS Movie 2: http://www.geocities.jp/inutori_bekkan/database/m_ccsakura2.html

Searching the names for key credits on Japanese Wikipedia, there are some rather distinct differences on the two names from that angle. 渡邊義弘 tends to be a character designer for series with animation by AIC. 渡辺義弘 tends to be mechanical designer for series with animation by Daume (though in a few cases character design or prop design). Even if they are two different people, though, it's going to be hard telling them apart, as there's always the possibility of a credit mistake making one look like the other.

I've completed all all I can do with the provided sources and without searching elsewhere.
So far there are two titles where they are both credited.

To make sense of the timeline I've colorised the list:
http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/_Wze4jFLFF_XETA-My6hHWdvMWJvlQSeoCWWSQxmSxY

#1 started in 1995, rapidly progressing from tweener to key animator and mecha designer (note that this is mechanical design as in props like mobile phones or whatever, not giant mecha) but no further; we have no sakkan credits on record.

#2 started appearing in 2007 (assuming none of the older unverified ones are him). His work us more along the line of character designs (although some of them are rather vague as to what he actually designed), and sakkan work.

[edit]

I've added the main animation studio for each title.
The blues are all AIC except one franchise which is TNK

One of the greens is AIC, but they have no involvement with the other, Nogizaka Haruka. The pity is, until the end of last year I could have checked that one on Crunchyroll.
The blue guy is down for only design work on ep 7 on our source (the other guy did key animation for the OP and EP 1).
