I was wondering, what’s you choice of anime including (strongly) all these elements.
Supernatural, fantasy, overcoming difficulties, life and death, being confusing/unexplained.

I looked, didn’t really find anything. I believe I can get a little help here. Thanks!

[EDIT - Topic adjusted. -C]

As far as being confusing goes, you can try your luck with Serial Experiments Lain.

Anyway, I don't remember any anime having ALL those elements you listed. Escaflowne has elements of fantasy, overcoming difficulties, life and death. It's a great series. Try that too.

escaflowne and evengelion are pretty interesting.

I am looking for anime with all those elements, so cat soup is out of the question.

I am confused why you changed the thread title to "Though Choice...."

*I just realized you meant the topic to be "Tough Choice." Your first topic was better because it was more specific.

No one mentioned Twelve Kingdoms. Actually, it has most things that what you're looking for, Supernatural (the thing that it happens in a different world is enough), Fantasy (with magical creatures, powers, etc.), Overcoming difficulties (Yoko's always having really huge problems), Life and death (maybe not so of this, but it also has some killings on it), being confusing (the Twelve Kingdoms world is ruled in a very unusual way, even how emperors become emperors, and it's something hard to understand ALL at sometimes). Oh, and it's actually a really good anime!! Anime smile. I would recommend it.

BoogiePop Phantom and Serial Experimental Lain have a really strange and supernatural background, mixed with deaths and murdering, with a confusing plot. You can either think about them. Maybe they don't have a lot of fantasy, but they have the other things you said...

What else?? Hum...My brain doesn't work really well, when I've woke up at 7:00 am at Saturday, so maybe I'll come back later, after thought more about it...

The concept of FLCL is rather simple; it just seems ambiguous because of all of the sexual references and random humor^_^

Some people overthink which usually lead to confusion when the plot was simple.

I remember actually looking at it in a store. As soon as I saw the title (kingdoms), I started to look else where. I don’t like most of the kingdom related book/movies/games, and this stereotype act was in action even with anime. Sure enough after looking on their website, watching a preview, it looks good to me. Thanks for suggesting.

Hum...So, whenever you see the word "kingdom" you turn your face to another direction, eh? In that case (as I didn't know before), I can't tell you for true that you're gonna like it, but I must insist on trying it.

Anyways, Fooly Cooly IS NOT, by any reason, an anime that have (strongly) those elements. I'm not saying it's bad, neither that it has some of them, but, as I said, it's not what dreamriser was looking to...

More? Ayashi no Ceres could also be a good option. It doesn't have anything about kingdoms and old times, is setted on nowadays, obviously, in Japan. The plot is constantly changing, making appear new difficulties, mixed with the completly supernatural elements it already have, constantly making characters die
(Really huge spoiler, don't look at it unless you've seen/read the whole story!spoiler[even one of the main characters die, which it can't be expected]). It's not confusing, but it takes a long time to being all explained, it goes on slowly. And, as ever, Yuu Watase has always a great stories, but don't forget that you may find there extremly love things Anime smile.

P.D. Where the hell did I left my brain today???!! I can't remember more Anime hyper

[Edit: you can see the colored text even with the spoiler tag. Changed text to black. -L]

I would offer up RahXephon. There's nothing supernatural in it, but I think it fits the bill on the life and death/overcoming difficulties/ being confusing part. Watching the whole thing twice helped me out alot. On second thought, there is a spiritual aspect to it, (some may consider supernatural?) so, it might warrant a look at.

...And this japanese lessons? I don't think they're at the correct place, hehe. Anyways,

Hum...No. The differences between Watashi and Boku is the grade of how you know the person who you're talking to. It's just by confidence. If I speak to someone I've just met, I may use Watashi, and if I'm with closest friends, Boku. What you said is just a way of how people uses it, but it's not correct at all Anime smile.

And please, if someone has more ideas, please say them. We better won't misdirect this topic...
