All i can say is FINNALY!!!!!!!! After so long without any news they finnaly realized thats about time to put out some air date for it now i just hope they will continue also the tv series since new material is pilling up nicely.

Fairy Tail isn't as crazy big west as Naruto, One Piece, DB but here's to this getting a limited time theatrical release. A lot of companies are doing great jobs trying to bring these films west. Wouldn't mind going to support this in a theater one bit, especially if it ends up being after the manga canon like the Last and Boruto. (I personally don't think FT is ending anytime soon but who knows by the way the manga is going.) Preferably subbed as well.

Huh completely forgot about this film, maybe i should write it down so it wont happen again anyway looking forward to it since i enjoyed Phoenix Priestess.
Since its coming out in spring id estimate a winter or spring 2018 release fall 2017 at the earliest if were lucky.

The only OVAs I would like to see dubbed are the early ones (pre-ryuzetsu island), Fairies Training Camp and the Rave Master crossover (but even if they somehow managed to dub them all they would probably have to recast almost everyone in the Rave crossover since a god majority of those actors are Union I think.) |

I hope funimation does a simuldub of the movie, with broadcast dubs coming earlier than usual dubs I could see funimation doing something where they dub the movie faster than expected.

Whoo! Looking forward to seeing this whenever it can arrive to the States. ^^
Commenting on the OVAs... I really do wonder why Funi hasn't been able to pick up the rights to them yet? I can't really think the attachment to manga is the biggest issue... they got the rights to the Tsubasa OVAs, and those were released with their manga as well. But I guess two different studios, two different set of agreements for rights... Still, I hope Funi might be able to license and release them eventually. |
